Zen Meditation Instruction (ZMI) Class
An introductory class on Zen Buddhism and the physical, mental, spiritual and life-enhancing benefits of Zen meditation. A two-hour class offered at 9 a.m. on select Saturdays covering meditation postures and breathing, with a short introduction to the Zen tradition. Attendees are invited to hear a dharma talk at 11 a.m. and then share in our free community lunch. Class fee is $20. Contact us to register.
Zen and Practice (ZAP) Class
ZAP class is a half-day program that builds on the foundation provided in the ZMI class and covers meditation, services, zendo procedures, working with a teacher and preparing for sesshin. The class lasts from 9 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m., which includes a dharma talk and lunch. Please wear loose, dark, comfortable clothing (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) suitable for sitting on the floor. Class fee is $40; attendees receive an instruction manual.
